Paylean is an Elanco technology at work for modern pork producers. Paylean directs nutrients toward quality lean gain and away from fat deposition, resulting in an increase of high-value, lean cuts of meat in pork carcasses. With years of university and private research Paylean has been proven to:
- Increase rate of weight gain
- Improve feed efficiency
- Increase carcass leanness
Improvements in daily gain and feed efficiency have averaged approximately 10%1. These improvements are realized with no withdrawal period prior to marketing. Paylean can improve profits by at least $2/pig.2 To initiate your Paylean program, feed 4.5 g/ton starting 28 days3prior to barn closeout. Using Paylean 28 days3 prior to barn closeout allows you to enhance production efficiency, while taking into consideration marketing strategy and feed delivery.
